Keeping a Customers Information

Just curious, how long should I keep a customer's information after they cancel an account with me? I'm just starting out so I haven't even got my first customer, but I know this will be something I need to know for the future.

Shared Web Hosting

I think I have a basic understanding of what shared web hosting is. My question now is, is it a good idea for me just starting out? It seems like it would be less expensive. Are there any other pros to shared web hosting? What about the drawbacks?

Web Host Advice

As you know, I'm just getting my feet wet here and I'm looking for a little advice. Has anyone heard of register.com? Is it a good hosting service? I was thinking of buying a domain name through them but then didn't know if I should find a new host or leave it with them.

Why a Legal Advisor?

I'm just doing some research on web hosting and before I get started I want to make sure I cover all my bases. So, I don't understand, why do I even need legal advice? Can't I just get started with web hosting and go from there? Are there common legal problems that I could run into?

What's in a Name?

I am relatively new to domain names but I am interested in buying a few. Are there certain criteria I should be aware of before going out and purchasing a name? or do I just buy anything that catches my eye?
