Concurrency Requirement for optimum performance and scalability

I don't understand how to express the concurrency requirement to the prospective hosting companies. Providers define capacity in terms of MBPS. I'm sure concurrency is more complex than pipe size. I'm guessing it's a function of available bandwidth AND the size and format of the media files. Because we're talking about the Internet and not a dedicated line, I'm guessing time of day and proximity to a major hub might also be factors. Enough guessing. :crash:

Bandwidth is not the only requirement when it comes to hosting a lot of users.

For concurrency requirement this is the statement that I am referencing to:

I believe we should plan for 100 users (not simultaneous) who will watch videos say 10 at time (But maybe we should plan for 15 to 20 at a time) in the first 6 months, 200 users in the next 3 months, and 450 in 12 months, It should grow exponentially from there.
