domain and DNS

hi my name is lee i have the domain name xtcservers.co.uk and is registered with 123reg.co.uk. on there site i have set the name servers to ns1.xtcservers.co.uk and ns2.xtcservers.co.uk. and have setup a linux Bind9 server using webmin.

here is my dns config.

xtcservers.co.uk NS ns1.xtcservers.co.uk
xtcservers.co.uk A 81.149.97.1xx
www.xtcservers.co.uk CNAME xtcservers.co.uk
xtcservers.co.uk NS ns2.xtcservers.co.uk

my dns servers is set to 192.168.1.86 on internal network and i have a static wan ip of 81.149.97.1xx.

all seems fine on DNS check results. link below to view.

but i can not access web server or ping from external network.
i have setup just the one master zone with both name servers for now tell it is working then will add a new slave zone server.

any help would be greatly appreciated

HI Lee,

Unfortunately since you can't access the server via the web, attaching a screen shot of that (and linking it to your server) means that we can't view it either Can you attach it here to the forum, or can you post on an outside network?

For two quick checks to maybe resolve the issue;
Check that if you have a firewall port 80 is OPEN on the machine. Also check that your router is allowing outside networks to access that IP - it sounds like it's being blocked when entering the network, probably a setting in your switch/router.
