Do I need a gmail invite to get a new gmail address? I already have one, my brother sent me the invite. But I'd like to get a business gmail add too.

Also, can I send an invite to a friend? How would I go about that?

Yes, you'd need an invite to open another gmail account. Google randomly passes invites out so if you don't see "You have x invites..." with a form to send an invite to someone in your account. when viewing your account then you don't have any yet. If you need an invite send me a pm with your email address, I have a hundred invites available.

Sometimes back i heard that Gmail allows you to signup from the site. Its no longer in the Beta version now, so I think it should be now open to all people.
