hmm
what help exactly are you looking for.
for one thing, cPanel is a smooth and easy interface.
most clients would probably look for such from a hosting
service

It seems he has troubles with provider he has signed up.
And he wants to have multiply accounts (cpanel ones) on shared web hosting.
theonethedark1, I think that you need reseller account.
If I were you I'd cancel account on current provider and go with with one of the most popular reseller account:
http://www.hostgator.com/resellers.shtml
http://resellerzoom.com/
http://www.**************.com/website-hosting.shtml?host_reseller-hosting
Look through them and decide which one is the best for you to go with

Nope, he's looking for a control panel to use.
To the OP Have you thought about Ipanel?

Was there a panel installed that maybe you just overlooked? I know that seems silly but I have also seen people do this before. Do you mean a hosting admin panel also or just one for your clients?

Any web hosting/reseller package is coming with panel and the best way to solve this trouble - contact your provider

Realistically, I wouldn't feel comfortable suggesting anything but CPanel.

If I might also suggest, while I don't know what kind of connection you have...

1. The reason your server responds fast for you, is because it's sitting right next to you, with a direct connection to the internet.

2. If you have anything less than a T1 minimum, you will quickly find that you can't handle 50-100 users. In fact, you'll find that with just 10 accounts, your customers will more than likely need Viagra, Depends and Geritol, before their sites load.

3. If your connection is lower than T1, and is a DSL or Cable account, you might want to check with your ISP before doing this. If they don't permit it, you'll quickly find them politely closing your account for you.

Again, I don't know your setup, and you may already have this covered. However, after many years in the industry, I have found that most people wanting to run their own server from home....DON'T cover these bases and end up flat on their face, or quickly looking for an alternative in a scramble to keep their customers from leaving.

I am not really sure on what kind of suggestion you are looking here for. Can you please explain.

If you need to get a cPanel license for your home server it will be extremely expensive. Your going to be looking at about $40/month at least. Also, as someone else has already said your server is only fast because your right next to it. Others from a few hundred or thousand miles away may think that your server is actually slow. You would be better off renting a dedicated server because it will be much cheaper. At home, you pay high cPanel license fees, electricity bills, and you receive a slower connection speed.

I used cpanel for a while and every now and again it decided that it didnt like IE, but would allow FF to connect no problem.

Dunno if this helps or not.

I agree completely with what you say here. Running a server from home is actually quite easy, but stick any sort of load on to it then you will soon see problems. Also you have the power problems and other problems that a home does not provide protection for. I think a small reseller plan would probably work out cheaper then buying the UPS, server, bandwidth needed etc...

Just pay out $20 - $30 per month for a reseller account that already comes with the UPS, backups, connectivity and security.

Surely and technologies we have today allow us move to the VPS just in few mins.
So I think that migration issue is not problem at all.
