High Performance Caching DNS Server

I'm looking for recommendations for a Linux based DNS caching server. Something really fast and stable. What's the best DNS server software out there?

Another vote for bind. You might even want to take a look at a service such as DNSMadeEasy or DynDNS for high preformance.

Something really fast and stable.

BIND had 80+ vulnerabilities over the last 10 years.

If you want something fast and stable, but you don't want to run after emergency upgrades every second month, then check out dnscache from the djbdns suite, or maradns.
