If you'll just have a few thousand domain names, being a reseller is the way to go. With this volume, you can get registrars to give you attractive pricing without any of the headaches of maintaining a relationship with ICANN.Well i understand that it will be expensive but I am actually doing a feasibility analysis as what would be more effective for me? - being a reseller or a registrar.
Looking at the required ICANN fees, it would definitely be an obvious choice at continuing to be a Domain Reseller. Anyways, lets see.. Am still keeping my options open..
