Internet block

I work for this company and they put a block on certain groups of network users for internet access.

We only have limited access to a few sites...

Any idea how to avoid this?

A ping to a domain will result in an IP, but no respondse.

If you can use one of the authorised IP addresses to use as a proxy server (the same one they use), then you may be able to connect to the whole Internet. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Infinite :D

PS. The dns servers are working for you, but the firewall/proxy server is denying you access to that IP/domain address.
