Issue Moving Clients

This is a post in a secondary catergory.

OK, here is the deal, I am trying to move a new client to my server. He is using cPanel on the old, and I am on the new.

In an effort to help him move, he gave me access to his WHM, therefore I could log into accounts through his current reseller interface and I could do a remote ftp backup.

Thing is, my authentication always fails, but I know it is right, and in the area where it shows the IP adress, it is not mine???? Not sure why this is.

Any ideas? Really want to get this done for my new client.

not sure what's happening with you, but
- have you tried to use Copy account feature in your "root" WHM?
- have you tried to login customer's cPanel to make full backup?

gate2vn thanks for your response. Sometimes I post in a panic and well, basically forget to update.

When trying to FTP the sites from the old server to my server I was using the root username and password, and needed to use an account other than the root.

I have since corrected the issue and have a satisfied client.
