With all that's going on in the world many are saying we have entered or are close to Doomsday. What's your take?

I'm not against religion, and I am not a "non-believer". But I will tell you this:

If it's going to happen, it's going to happen. Nothing is going to stop it, so why worry about it?

Quite honestly I've heard that "The End is Near! REPENT!" for as long as I can remember. But several things bug me about the "Church" and the business of such. But, I won't drag this topic off course and start bashing the Church. I pray, but I don't go to Church. Anyways...

Like I said, if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen. Why worry about it?

The death of Earth would mean very little for the Universe as a whole. So why do we make such a big fuss about it?

The planet has been here for billions of years and it is just fine. It's the people who are "doomed".
