Partial redirect?

Is it possible to do a partial redirect of a domain name? I have a friend who has two domain names, and mostly the same content on both, but one of them has other things tagged to it that stop working if he redirects the whole first domain to the second. Would it be possible to redirect the pages, but leave anything else where it is?
