I've never had a problem with my debit not being accepted by them, and I've used two different banks on two different continents to buy the domain names. They genuinely are supposed to process through the credit network-to use mine as a debit card incurs a charge where as credit processing is free. I've never yet paid the charge.

This is a good way to bypass the credit card issue.
Yes, I agree to Romes . Please check whether your Debit Card Authorization (local bank) supports PayPal transaction. If so, Create a Paypal account and add your Bank account details to it. Then you will be able to perform the transaction through Debit Card <->Paypal

Like others have said, the debit card should work fine if it has Visa or MC logo because it works just like a credit card. If you use a smaller bank, then I would just set up the Paypal account. It's always good to have a Paypal account set up.

Mostly true, but sometimes it really is a pain. I have a client who travels a great deal any anytime he goes to pay a bill (monthly), logging into PP from another country than his own always gives his issues. I tell him swap to CC, but it falls on deaf ears.

I have always paid my purchases from GoDaddy with my debit card. Try using PayPal to pay as you can add your bank account information and pay, making it almost the same as using your debit card.
