I bought 5-6 new domains last week. The names was just so good I couldn't resist. But I realized that I have more than 70 names, mostly bought this year. I can't wait for the renewal day I'm so gonna get poor!

Do you own lots of domains?

Filter out the best domains from the list and only renew those domain names that worth for renew and try out selling other domain names, atleast you should get the cost of registration.

Not a bad idea. I'm considering an option of putting some basic content on them and get them indexed by Google so I can squeeze a little more out of them. I'll figure out something.

It is always worth to keep that much domains which you can manage as well as optimize. No use to keep domain without any optimization & regular update on some time interval.

It's hard to keep fresh content on all 70 sites... But it is something worth doing because those sites in a few years will worth around 100 bucks per one.

We have about 100 unused domains all related to our business name and branding efforts. From time to time we bring a new one online for testing and marketing, but we still have a slew of domain names that are worth money (to us) and probably not much to others.

Try domain parking if the names consist of keywords. You might get some type-in traffic.

I have several unused ones as well and often am not too happy when renewal time comes around as while individually it's not that much, renewing 5 domains at around the same time is quite a bit. However, every domain I own has a potential website that I could build around it so therefore, I've kept them all as when time permits, I will go ahead and develop them but there are a couple that perhaps are no longer too profitable and those I might let go off by either selling them or simply letting them expire.

Not yet. I have only three registered domain names, one for my website and two for my blogs. I can imagine running 70 websites and keep them updated regularly. Maybe you can monetize some of them using Adsense for domain program.

You have so many unused domains that means you have lots of chance to go on a related business. If you feel uncomfortable for renew these domains, you can select serval domains that are very potential to renew and sell others out or let them expire.

I only have one domain and have never thought about buying other ones.

Would you guys recommend buying the variations of my .com, like the .net and .biz ending?

I have heard of people doing this just in case people mis-type the ending it'll automatically re-direct them to the correct site.

I am just wondering if it is worth it.

I can understand doing this for businesses, where you don't want the competitors buying up related domain names. But what point is there to a non business entity in owning seventy domains? It seems a rather expensive thing to collect!
