Trying to regulate the Internet in this manner is a big waste of time and effort. There is no practical way to make domain owners move domains from .com to .xxx. I believe it is just another revenue stream being put out there under some guise as a means to filter some content easier. In reality it's all about the $$.

I have reserved a lot of domains name in case this is gets official.

You should take a look into ICANN website.
Forcing sites to use the .xxx tld would be hard to regulate, there's so many cultural differences as to what is defined as adult content. Also, it's not like all the domain names that are already registered by adult sites will suddenly become available when they can register a .xxx, most would still keep their existing domain. I see the new .xxx tld as just another way for registrars to make money from existing adult sites.

.XXX TLD is not a solution to filter Adult website.. Adult website owners will not move to that extension. If they choose .xxx they will loose them business bcz adult website filters will catch easily them websites.

Key word being IF pornographic websites are forced to use XXX, I highly doubt that it would happen.

I really don't see that happening either. So what's the motivation? I think it's all about generating more revenue.

It's about money. Even if the company will not move the site from .com to .xxx , for sure they will also buy the .xxx domain name.

As per my knowledge .xxx was not materialized by ICANN and hence the idea was scrapped. The main issue was that any country can simply block the extension to avoid adult content that is why most of the adult site was not supposed to move to this .XXX tld.
