Hello everyone,
So, back in Jan. or Feb. I asked you guys to review value-hostingz.com and you quickly noticed that it was a "free template". Since that time, I'm STILL waiting for two different people to provide the designs they said they would do... I've decided to TRY and do it myself.
I ask that you please review http://www.value-hostingz.com/new/index.html - Please note: this is the first ever free hand site I've tried to build... Also, I only have the index page uploaded right now, as I'm really just looking for opinions on colors and layout right now before I go any further.
Thanks much,
Jerry

I am afraid to hurt your feelings, Jerry, so I will just recommend you to hear to http://themeforest.net/ and buy yourself a ready to use template which you can modify for content.
As far as trying to build a professional site for business, I'd wait with that while your skill has improved.
Or if you want a unique hosting template designed, head to www.talkfreelance.com and scan the marketplace for affordable coded templates you can use.

Hello Art,
It's okay, I wasn't expecting a "good" review off the bat
Is the logo usable, atleast?

There were some really nice designs on talkfreelance not too long ago, as Artashes mentioned. However, if you can't afford the 100-200$ price tag, I recommend http://onedollartemplates.com/ where you can get a quality starter-upper that you'll be able to mold (learning in the process some trick or two)

To be quite honest, it just doesn't look very professional. I'd try using a different font style.
edit: In your code, I'd suggest changing
Code:
<img src="images/site_logo.png" width="500" height="70" alt="">
to
Code:
<img src="images/site_logo.png" width="250" height="70" alt="">
That will improve the way the logo looks on the front page Right now it's being stretched out too much.

Hi JerryM,
Your web address goes to a domain parking. If I was a customer it would be impossible to make me choosing your services once I've already seen this. Work to build credibility!

Logo is too lengthy. This is good try as this is your first design. But it does not look professional.

i would start by not lying to your customers :| and id agree with evething said, in that your logo looks inprofessional as does the site and starting again even with a stock template and basic logo design.

How is that a lie csn-uk? Do a search on cheap-hostingz.com for when it was FIRST registered.. You'll see it was May 19, 2004 and it WAS mine. Also, see when value-hostingz.com was FIRST registered, It was by me also. You don't know me nor the oother hosting business I've worked for..
Before you call me a liar, do some research.
To the rest of you, thanks for your feedback.
Best regards,
Jerry

First, it's weird because I like the logo. But I agree with the other that it doesn't look very professional. It makes your website look like a cartoon site. I think it's the font. Try different and more "official" fonts.

Jerry the wording you have used for your "Value-hosting has over 5 years hosting experience" would indicate the company has 5 years experience, despite not being that old... if you intend to use this state "our staff have .... years experience" this is more accurate and the staff are the important asset as your company maybe 20 years old... however you may not have any of your original staff. None the less rewording will resolve concern for those users will research as I have.
Remember that your site is being view and reviewed by us as both providers and clients, and what a standard client will deduce will be as above, without explanation which onsite isn't provided it can be seen as I stated above.

First I want to congratulate on your effort for building your first site. I know it's not easy and you still have to learn but just don't give up and you'll be proficient at it soon.
The site looks like others have said, still unprofessional...
