I have to put this out there as it seems this week more than any other I have now decided is "I forgot my password" week. We have had random phone calls of clients who seem to over look that little button on the site for "password reset".

I actually had one person tell me they had named it after their cat, but then the cats name was spelled "odd" and now they can not remember how to spell their cats name. So she expected me to guess the spelling.



Any funny password stories you folks want to share?

Very funny. I just took my first call on our sales live chat for a forgotten password.

Regularly get the "forgot password" type tickets or chat. Even worse when the users account is suspended, and their contact email address is the same as the account being suspended.

One of the things we seem to get is the "webmaster transferred the account to me, I thought I changed it to "X" so can you give me the first 4 letters or numbers so I can guess the rest"

We get lots of requests from people who forget their passwords for their shopping carts, forums, guestbooks etc etc - stuff we don't have access to.

lol, forgotten password is one of the problems of people who has many accounts with different usernames and password. They must at least right it down to something.
