I have to say I think so far this is the best bit I have seen on SOPA/PIPA. Some articles can not take the geek talk down a notch for those who are just "normal users", and its got a ton of extra info. They took the time and explained it in full, love it!

This will bring negative vibes to internet users as content will be regulated once this is passed.

From the recent trend of Senators pulling out of supporting SOPA, and the backlash of hacking by Anonymous, I doubt this regulation can survive much longer. Apparenlty there is going to be an "Operation Donkey Punch" which hackers will bring evidence forth proving which senators were or are supporting the bill.

Yea I was reading about that the other night, I am kind of amazed that more people are not ready to stand up and fight for their net rights though. I still run into people that are pretty much "Well if it happens, it happens".

Even though I'm not a US citizen, I'm hoping SOPA fails to get through...it would be terrible for the internet and freedom of speech. Fingers crossed!

Sadly many people do not realize that even passed here in the US it will end up taking part all over the world. I think this is what confuses everyone. What happens if a random site based in the US is flagged but its a huge site with hundreds of thousands of members world wide?

Thank goodness SOPA did not go through. It just proves that if enough people band together, there is power in numbers. But I'm sure we have not heard the last on this issue.

I'm glad so much that SOPA and PIPA are withdrawn. Such laws are illegal already from the beginning...

There are still issues in the works, trying to nail out what is going over the lines and what is not. Its just as bad as schools demanding a students Facebook account, same thing with the work place. What happened to privacy?
