Why not, they are like mini computers these days.

it would that, but i think impossible to implement.

Can you imagine no ATM or teller services, so no money as computers are down and no grocery shopping as tills down.

no emergency services as computers are down.

Some grocery stores could still function as some still have the old none computer cash machines. But they would not be able to take credit cards only checks and cash.

but with no ATM or bank teller service how could you pay with cash, in the UK most stores no longer accept cheques.

also no computers means no fuel for vehicles as pumps are computer operated now. no subway etc.

I keep cash on hand but not much. So I could still go to the store that is local here.

You are right about the gas. Although that is only been the case here in the past few years. The old gas station had old pumps that you had to pay inside and they would turn on the pumps and then you get your gas.

I had to get a debit card when they got the new pumps. As you pay at the pump now. I have since gotten credit cards so I can use them as well. But for 5 years I had no credit cards or debit cards and used cash for every thing. Online it was all paypal. I only got credit cards recently, around 2 years ago.

I often have days of no technology, and sometimes it's an entire weeked or 3 days of no technology (except for lights).

Regular breaks from the computer world to deal with the real world is something that everyone should do. Whether it means going camping, hunting, fishing or just being outdoors - those breaks from computers are a huge energy recharger!

As for devoting an entire day - people should be doing this regularly anyway - if they're not, they're missing out on life.

One thing that I require (yes, I said REQUIRE), is that when I go out to dinner etc, or even having dinner at home, phones are not allowed at the table - whoever it is can wait. There's no need to check a facebook status, or upload a picture of your food to facebook at that exact moment. Feel like sharing, not a problem, take a picture, then upload it later - believe me, the world can wait the 45 minutes!

The world would stop and crash, imagine what would happen to the economy if all banks were closed and no trading would be accepted.
