VPS vs Dedicated

As a matter of fact there are very few businesses that need high level of security, in such cases they may consider a dedicated server. But, usually it depends on the requirement of the website. It is normally seen that users opt for Shared or VPS Hosting packages.

If you're starting out with a VPS the big consideration IMO to go dedicated is your need for much larger allocations of the CPU, in which case some VPS providers can meet your needs as apposed to "equal share".

I've seen well setup nodes who's VPS have easily outperformed dedicated servers of equal allocations. It's rare, but can be done

When a dedicated server becomes profitable I suggest a dedicated server. On the other hand dedicated servers are becomes so interesting that a VPS is outdated.

VPS is great to start out with, but when you have a lot of sites your going have to get another VPS.

Dedicated server on the other hand have more resources, but if something goes wrong everyone is affected. While if a VPS goes down the other VPS most likely will still be up.

It depends upon your requirement. VPS is the best place to start but still it depends upon your requirement. If you will be hosting a complicated and complicated sites and if it will be growing in next few months and if you have enough budget then go for Dedicated otherwise VPS is best.

Well, choosing between a VPS and dedicated server depends on the requirements of the website. If you are starting a website, a VPS would be fine, however, considering a VPS with a hosting provider who allows easy upgrades would be a better solution as you will be able to choose a dedicated server if you require more resources later on

I would say you will be asked to move by your web hosyting service provider

Starting with VPS is a clever idea, VPS is a good option over the Dedicated servers, over the time if you need the best performance and more space with more cache, you can go with the dedicated servers

if web server do not speed for your website, you must invest to dedicated

If you have a pre-established website and have high traffic,you can opt for a Dedicated server.But if your website is new and there isn't much traffic to it,then a shared or VPS would be just fine.A shared/VPS are much cheaper than a dedicated server,hence there would be a waste of money if you are not utilizing the resources allotted to a dedicated server.Later when your website starts receiving high traffic and the resources required to run the website smoothly,starts falling short,you can think of upgrading to a dedicated server.

Regarding when do move from VPS to dedicated, i guess you must have figured it out when you moved from shared to VPS
