    What are some benefits of using javascript over pure CSS and HTML?

    I prefer to use CSS and HTML for my entire site, even for my drop down menus. I just feel like if I use Javascript my site would not degrade well.

    Someone mentioned that Google plans to crawl links on blogs and websites even if the current web page being crawled is do follow or not? If so, what was Google's reasoning behind this decision?

    A good ASP.net forum software

    Do you guys have any suggestions for a forum that is built with asp.net? I would prefer to have one because I plan on creating my site in ASP.NET using visual basic and it would be great to have the entire site built on the same framework.

    Let's say you have some dedicated rented servers and your provider just happens to get shutdown due to their own payment issues. How do you prevent them from then wiping out all of your data? Do you have to get a court order to do something like this?

    Domain name history?

    How can you check the history of a domain if you are buying it from a reseller. I do not want to buy a domain that has been banned by Google or something other search engines will not crawl due to inappropriate material. I need to know before I purchase what the site was used for.
