I would just change my entire company's policy in order to prove that bad rep wrong. For example, if you were given a bad rep due to lack of support then I would just hire 1-2 more support techs from different time zones so it would be easier to manage constant support.

I think this approach is the most correct one.

Bill Gates once said that negative feedback provides company with the best learning opportunity. If some of your clients are unhappy, keep track of reasons they contact support for. Then just address the weakest parts of the system. Your clients are more happy and you improve as a business.

For once I think that Bill Gates was correct, and I hate to find myself saying that Complaints and negative feedback can be wonderful if the feedback reaches you in the right way. This was all taken very much out of proportion and the fear was a disproportionate response, but so far that hasn't happened.
