Actually, this interests me greatly. Could you please explain in more detail what you mean by "dates can be linked to calendar" part? Can you also give an example of how you use labels to customize that/groups/whatever it is you do?
For the past couple of years I have been looking around for a nice and light contact management application to use. I receive a lot of emails and it would be fantastic to be able to classify each contact in its own group. I looked at ACT and some web-based scripts, at some point I wanted to build a custom solution, but then what a headache that is!
I recently switched to Gmail completely (also voted for it against any paid solutions I looked at - and I looked at many of them!!), so it simplifies my communication and it is accessible from anywhere. I am now learning more about Gmail and its capabilities, I use labels for each main subject/topic/website so its easier to navigate, BUT I would love to learn how it can be customized to help with contact management as well.
