Sometimes timing is the best thing in the world, if you pick the proper time. When are you having ads go up, are there certain times during the year that work better for others? Have you ever made the mistake in starting an ad go and not having something finished on your site that was fully needed. I am looking for the good bad and ugly of it all. Right now we are about to start up another go and I am looking for some ideas.

Can't say we've had any ads go up without not having something finished on our site. There are too many checks and balances here. I think it's always best to have a second or third pair of eyes scan projects before they're released. I don't know if we've ever seen a particular time of the year that's more suitable than others. Specials can always be built around holidays or seasons, or anniversary's.

I know it is always a good time to release your ads on weekend. People are more relax. They don't have to go to work the next day. They have time to spare looking at ads.

I think weekends are not the best to release such ads as many people don't work on saturdays n sundays and many tend to stay away from the computer. I think mid-week is the ideally the best time to release an ad.

I have been picking around with a Tues/Wens/Thurs type slot, most so avoiding Thurs. since its close into the "almost" weekend and we all know how much fun Thursdays are. One day after hump day and another closer to the weekend. I am still playing around with some other ideas too (day of month wise), so all thoughts are welcome and I am thankful folks (gotta be one of the nicest not snotty web master sites I have been around in a while).
