I've acquired a little VPS to mess around with, and I want to see what she's capable of. Performs very well on the free load test a LoadImpact.com, but I want to push her to the edge and see how she performs.

2.6Ghz / 320MB of ram.

What would be the best method of doing this?

Eivind Uggedal wrote a python script called vpsbench that can be pretty useful if you know a little about python.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned UnixBench.

This is good idea or find some scripts you could use on it.

UnixBench is good because loads of people use it, so comparisons are easier.

UnixBench is good on most servers but it is not really a good stress test for a VPS server. I learned the hard way not to over stress text. You don't want to get an email about server abuse like I did. Heh.
