    If I understand this right, in colocation hosting you own your server but lease space to store it, and in dedicated you lease the server and the space. Assuming the same server and space, which is more expensive to do?

    What kind of profit margins can web hosting resellers make? Since it's such a competitive business, I'd imagine resellers would undercut each other and so margins would be thin.

    Do you prefer to use domains that incorporate keywords, or do you like domains that are short and easy to remember? I hear SEO arguments in favor of the first option, but as a user I like easily-memorized domains.

    Do you prefer to have root access or not? Why? I still don't know too much about it, but I would think it'd be preferable to have root access, to have full control and ability to customize.

    Is a domain registrar, such as goDaddy, always also the hosting service, or are there any companies that just register domain names? Would a company that only registered domains be able to remain in business?
