Ehningen, Germany is opening doors to a new facility by IBM. A Cloud Computing Competence Center will reach local and international clients, as well as a wide range of business partners. IBM’s first European Cloud Computing Center was opened two years ago in Dublin, with other locations in Seoul, Johannesburg, and Beijing.
Equinix has opened a new data center in London, England, which makes it the company’s 50th International Business Exchange DC. The new facility counts 290,625 square feet of gross space, which is Equinix’ second largest DC after FR2 data center in Frankfurt, Germany.

Equinix has launched two International Business Exchange data centers in Germany: Frankfurt and Dusseldorf. Both are part of the company’s 2007-2010 global expansion plan worth $1.4 billion. Equinix also plans to expand its Frankfurt-2 DC by an additional 8,202 square feet.
