HP delivers innovative all-inclusive networking solutions

Hewlett-Packard, always at the forefront of technology solutions manufacturing, has announced its latest comprehensive edge-to-core networking portfolio, aiming to provide networks with higher speeds and lower energy costs through its own ProCurve technology combined with technology recently acquired from 3Com.

  • Leaseweb has expanded the integration of Veam-powered solution with Leaseweb Cloud Services. Leaseweb first partnered with Veam in 2018, when it launched its first data-centre facility in Amsterdam and now, the extended partnership comes in direct response to customer requests for cloud service to be approachable at each of their global entities. Amsterdam-1 and Amsterdam-2, London and Frankfurt are the places where the new services are available and it is said to be available to Washington, D.C. before the end of the year. #
  • NVIDIA, a leading GPU manufacturer company, launched its new Data-Centre-Infrastructure-on-a-chip software. It’s a new kind of Data Processing Unit that will enable advance networking, storage and security performance. This solution features the new NVIDIA BlueField 2 Family of DPUs which provide the same data centre service to that of 125 CPU cores and NVIDIA DOCA software development kit to build applications on DPU-accelerated data centre infrastructure service. #

  • Cloud service provider Zenlayer has launched Zenlink, a service that allows companies to connect between cloud deployments, enabling businesses to collaborate. The service makes use of a dedicated connection, which reduces latency and increases security within data centers. #
  • Following its acquisition of VMware's vCloud business in April 2017, French company OVH has launched its next-generation Hosted Private Cloud offerings for the US market, targeting SMBs. The service begins in the Eastern U.S. region along with the U.K. and Germany, with more regions to be added in the 2018 Q1-2. OVH has a leading position in cloud and hosting services across Europe, so the company feels there is an opportunity to win market share in the United States. OVH aim to scale their data centers from 27 to 50 in the next three years with $1.5 billion investment. #
  • A new MarketsandMarkets research report suggests the CDN security market is expected to grow from $1.93 billion in 2017 to $7.63 billion in 2022. The market is primarily driven by ongoing instances of DDoS and application layer security attacks and rising customer preferences for cloud-based services. For study purposes, the CDN security market has been segmented into DDoS protection, web application firewall, bot mitigation and screen scraping protection, data security, and DNS protection. #
  • Rackspace announced it has completed its transaction to acquire Datapipe, a managed services provider. This is the largest deal in Rackspace history that will enable the company to expand its capabilities in the managed hosting and private cloud space. With this acquisition, the company becomes one of the leading providers of managed public cloud services across all the top public cloud infrastructure platforms, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and the Alibaba Cloud. #
  • Cybersecurity provider Avast just issued a warning about an increasing number of attacks on these content management systems whereby cybercriminals have injected a fake script on millions of websites. In fact, they’re saying that they have seen 4.5 million user attacks since last November. Please check with your provider to ensure that your sites are safe. #
