Access Northeast acquires RezZiliant’s hosting division

RezZiliant‘s hosting division is now a property of data center and managed services provider Access Northeast, increasing its base of New England customers for a while. Access Northeast now has four facilities which have a total of 40,000 square feet of space. Other technical resources still belong to the software division of RezZilliant.

CyrusOne acquisition completed

The acquisition of a data center operator CyrusOne by telecommunications provider Cincinnati Bell is now complete. Cincinnati Bell paid $525 million in cash for CyrusOne which provides colocation services to companies and some of their customers that include Fortune 500 companies. The total square feet of Cincinnati Bell’s data centers now total 620,000.

Digital Realty Trust’s $725 million acquisition round

A portfolio of approximately 919,000 square foot of data center space worth $725 million has been purchased by Digital Realty Trust. The properties were brought from Rockwood Capital and 365 Main. The deal is expected to close early next month. The financial advisors for the deal are Credit Suisse Securities and Citi.

IBM to provide hosting for Hilton Worldwide

Leading technology and IT services provider IBM has secured a major deal with Hilton Worldwide that will see it deploy and manage the hospitality giant’s vision of the technological future of it’s offerings.

AboveNet’s contract with IPR International

IPR International will have AboveNet provide multi-state, high-bandwidth connectivity to its data centers. It will link IPR facilities in Philadelphia with IPR’s data center in Wilmington, DE.

Logic Solutions merges with Arachne Web

Logic Solutions announced that it has merged with Arachne Web Technologies. The deal benefits the customers of Arachne since they can now access the extensive resources of Logic Solutions, which employs over 120 people. The company has headquarters in Ann Arbor and Michigan. It also has offices in Nanjing, China and Shanghai, Beijing.

Dell buys Exanet for $12M

Bankrupt data storage company Exanet will be acquired by Dell. The company went into receivership last month and acquisition rumor started at that time. The headquarters of Exanet is located in Israel and this deal will provide Dell its first R&D center in that location. The company also has offices in Europe and Japan.

Yahoo’s web hosting division goes unsold

Reuters news agency reports that search engine company Yahoo! has pulled the plug on the sale of its Small Business division that offers domain registration and web hosting services. Webvisions acquires Skydio

Singapore-based ISP Skydio has been acquired by Webvisions, a company with more than 100,000 accounts by Webvisions in Oceania and Asia-Pacific. Skydio provides data center, managed servers and web hosting among its range of services. This deal would contribute over $1.9 million to Webvisions’ annual revenue.
