  • A managed hosting provider Peer 1 has introduced a line of products featuring Microsoft Hosted Exchange, targeting SMBs. With latency improvement and the company's emails are stored within the EU, the starting cost is set at £7.50 per mailbox per month. McAfee SaaS Email Protection is also included in the service. #
  • DediPower has opened its third data center in the United Kingdom. The Tier 3 DC  can store 200 additional racks and it will meet the requirements of company's growing hosting business. Earlier this year, the company added managed private cloud solutions to its line of offerings. The new facility is located at Reading while the other two operate in Berkshire. #
  • Savvis is adding global financial data centers in Brazil, Mumbai, and Sydney. The decision is based on the company's customer base which gets access to low latency market data and other related statistics out of these data centers. #
  • KickStart, a program designed to maintain high quality customer service, has been launched by ServInt. After signing up for a ServInt account, new customers can categorized themselves as people who need help, after which they are contacted by the company's services team to discuss their needs. The company says it took them two months to develop and introduce the program. #
  • Ehningen, Germany is opening doors to a new facility by IBM. A Cloud Computing Competence Center will reach local and international clients, as well as a wide range of business partners. IBM's first European Cloud Computing Center was opened two years ago in Dublin, with other locations in Seoul, Johannesburg, and Beijing. #
  • Company seeking to reach WordPress userbase SiteGround has introduced a free new "Universe" WordPress theme, which has advanced functionality and works with popular WordPress plugins and WordPress 3.0 installation. CSS3 and jQuery features such as image enlargement option are also included. #
  • Managed hosting provider Savvis has secured a $550 million term loan and a $75 million revolving credit facility to spend in outstanding securities and a repayment of its revolving credit loan. The arrangements are led by Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanly Senior Funding. #
  • GoDaddy launched their new customer care facility located in Hiawatha, Iowa. It will accommodate 500 employees and the company is looking to fill at least 60 positions as soon as possible. Up to 150 more people will be hired over the next year. The company's revenue was increased 22% last year. The Iowa Lt. Governor was in attendance for the opening ceremony. #
  • Internet infrastructure service provider BandCon has been acquired by Highwinds. BandCon's Content Delivery System compliments the new owner's multiplatform IP service products. IP transit and transport services, content storage services, and content delivery services are some of the products of the newly merged company. #
  • The GigaCenter of data center operator RackForce is now complete. The facility, located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, was built with advanced engineering and scalable modular design in mind. It has a private 10Gbps redundant network and company's Absolute Air Separation support power densities up to 25KW per rack will allow a typical customer save up to 50% in power usage. #
